  FAQ

Q What ANSI SIA CP-01 features will I gain by using the eFAR 100?
A Advanced cross zoning by zone.
Q What exactly is DVC technology?
A Digital Verification Control technology is the means by which the eFAR100 intercepts/processes incoming zone information and modifies it to provide a more reliable signal to the control panel.
Q What alarm control panel equipment is the eFAR100 compatible with?
A All industry standard control panels with 300-700mS loop response zone inputs are supported using normally closed, single end of line, or double end of line resistors for sensor hook up. Normally open
Q What do I do if I have more then 4 PIRs?
A You can use multiple eFAR100s on a system to provide the coverage required for more then 4 PIRs.
Q What are the uses for the DZ and DV outputs?
A DZ and DV are 50mA switch to ground open collector outputs. DZ provides a 5 second pulse any time any PIR connected goes into alarm. DV provides a 5 second pulse any time a double/triple knock, cross,
Q What advantages will an eFAR100 give me over using dual technology PIRs?
A The eFAR100 will be a cheaper solution, and will provide verified response. A dual tech PIR is more immune to falsing, but is still not an auto verified sensor. An eFAR100 will install much quicker th
